GIVING THANKS!
Our parish Advent Giving Tree was an enormously successful venture as your donations of presents and financial support made a positive difference in lives of families in need throughout our community and in the work of local and county service organizations. We acknowledge as well the donations to the Lodi Santa Project of the Council of Catholic Women and the Wednesday Morning Bible Study Group. Thank you for supporting these parish efforts.

WREATH CANDLE BEARERS
We extend our appreciation to the following young people who served throughout the season of Advent as our wreath candle bearers: Jacyln Barrette, Kim Breunig, Janell Breunig, Janelle Krummen, Ben McMahon, Quinton Taylor, Michael Mills, Nolan Woessner, Dominique Breunig, Caitlin Meinholz and Jenny Millmann. The light of Christ shines ever so brightly through the many ways the youth of our parishes of St. Michael and St. Patrick participate in parish life. Thank you!

GRADE TWO PARENT REMINDER:

Parents are reminded that the Sacrament Information Form is due December 15 in the Faith Formation Office along with the “Beloved Child” poster. Questions may be directed to Cindy Fischer, D.R.E.

CATHOLICS OF CHARACTER MEET Our grade 4-5 youth enrolled in the Saturday morning CCC R.E. program are reminded of our service activity in connection with the Council of Catholic Women Holiday Walk on Saturday, December 13. We’ll meet at our regular time, 9:00-Noon. Youth are to bring an item to add to our “Mrs. Claus’ Tea Shoppe” -- a holiday treat to be served at the shoppe or a craft item to sell. All proceeds from our shoppe will be given to the CCW to support their charitable work in the greater Lodi community and Columbia County.

PROTECTING GOD’S CHILDREN
*Children and youth in K-GR. 10 will be completing a safe environment personal safety skills session in early November through R.E. and parochial school classes.
If you were unable to attend the Grade 6-10 Safe Environment lesson on Thursday November 13th, please note that you may access all materials for discussion as a family, by grade level HERE

INCLEMENT WEATHER REMINDERS

*When weather conditions result in the early dismissal of students from Lodi Schools, all religious education and youth ministry activities are automatically cancelled for that particular day.

*When weather conditions require the cancellation of R.E. classes, although public school classes are dismissed at the regular time, a determination of such cancellation will be made whenever possible by 2:00 p.m. That being the case, we will contact the Lodi Public Schools, we will notify all catechetical volunteers for the effected classes, and we will post an announcement on our parish website.

*When weather conditions require the cancellation of weekend classes and activities, such a notice will be added to the parish website no later than one hour prior to the start of the class or activity.

Program calendars are available at all church entrances and from the Faith Formation Bulletin Board across from the St. Patrick parish library. Calendars may also be downloaded from our parish website.

National Catholic Youth Conference is a national rally that takes place every two years. Saint Patrick and Saint Michael Youth are invited to join the Diocese of Madison at NCYC Kansas City 2009.
