"Get Involved, is a spot where you can find out what's happening at Saint Patrick - Saint Michael for you. Youth Ministry is not only about the Church ministering to you but also about YOU ministering to the world as THE YOUNG CHURCH. Mission Trips and NCYC Mission Trips to areas in the United States that need Christ through service happen every other year. Our next Mission Trip will take place Summer 2010. Last year April Taylor, Bryce Dollard, Paul Jozwick, and I went to Chicago and were part of a workgroup with some teens from Saint Albert the Great Church (Sun Prairie). It was an incredible experience in which we worked at Eden Place, once an illegal dump, now an educational nature preserve that teaches inner-city Chicago families about nature, home farming, and the importance of community organizing. Championed by the Howard family, this project helps break the cycle of gang violence and brings the surrounding neighborhood together as a family. The High School Mission Trip Pictures: Chicago Summer 2008 NCYC, National Catholic Youth Conference, takes place every two years (Coming Up Nov. 2009!)and is simply one of the best experiences teenagers can have. Not only are tens of thousands of teens from around the country gathered in one spot for a weekend of music, inspiritation, service, games and youth fellowship, amazing speakers, worship, but also provides teens and adult leaders involved a much needed view of the large Catholic family that we belong to. Saint Patrick -Saint Michael would like to join others from the Diocese on a road trip by coach bus to Kansas City, Missouri. We will initially hold 10 spots so if your interested call the Youth Ministry office ASAP: 608-592-5711. For a taste of NCYC watch the NCYC 2009 Promotional video below and talk to Paul Jozwiak, Ben McMahon, Janelle Krummen, Janell Breunig, or Emily Clemens. Don't miss out on this chance to grow deeper in our faith!
Resurrection Rally Friday January 30 - Sunday February 1st 2009 For High School Youth, this weekend retreat counts as a Six-Week mini-course and might be a great option as a Spring course if Wednesday nights are not compatible with your schedule (though Wednesdays are supposed to be Church night) or perhaps you just need a weekend of great music, speakers, food, and a chance to make new friends. Don't miss out on this year's rally featuring Jesse Manibussen, one of the funniest, kindest, and most guitar-talented performers you'll EVER have a chance to meet. If you'd like to go, but are still wondering, "What is this weekend for? What will it be like?" Well you can start with the video below or talk to Jackie Barrette, Ryan Robertson, Steve Clemens, Gabe Newberry, Joe Halley, Sam Paque, or Katie Brisky.
