St. Patrick Church Stewardship Commission
The Stewardship Commission mission is to promote and foster Christian stewardship in our homes, in our parish and in our community. The Commission was organized in October 2005.
To fulfill our mission we provide resources for worship, prayer, education, administration, outreach and witness. We foster an environment in which stewardship is understood, accepted and practiced. Stewardship will become Our Way of Life for all parish members. The Stewardship Commission further seeks to install a sense of hospitality, spirituality, and accountability in parish members through recommitment, outreach, and prayer.
Our goal is to facilitate the maximum participation of people in the worship, education and service activities of the parish as Our Way of Life. The ideal is for every person of St. Patrick’s to be involved in some special way. Imagine a journey where the dedicated few become the committed many.
Regular meetings are held on the fourth Tuesday of each Month at 7:00 p.m. Special project and subcommittee meetings are scheduled as needed.
Responsibilities include: Planning, coordinating, and modeling Stewardship in the parish; carrying out parish stewardship education and activities; assisting people in identifying and utilizing their God given gifts; communications; hospitality and welcome. Stewardship for all ages – child, youth, young adult, adults, seniors, families, married, single, single parents, divorced, widowed. Stewardship is renewal and commitment; a formal means of expressing gratitude. The commission works with the councils, commission and parish leaders of St. Patrick Church and the Diocese of Madison to develop a plan around prayer, education, welcoming and outreach opportunities.
The commitment to living the Stewardship Way of Life by parishioners needs to be naturally ingrained in the families. There are many second and third generation families in the parish living the Stewardship Way of Life. It is the sense of ownership in the parish that helps develop spirituality and the ongoing activities of St. Patrick.
